Power Bridge Mission

Our mission is to produce electricity and sell it at the most affordable prices possible to developing countries.

We formed Energy Giant to re-imagine the gas turbine as a low-cost baseload electricity maker.  The gas turbine has become popular as a ‘peaker’ power generator — built cheaply to start up or shut down in 20 minutes without damaging the machine, so that it could address temporary spikes in customer power demand.  It was designed in such a way that its generated electricity cost up to ten times more than the baseload power produced by nuclear and coal power plants.

The combined cycle gas turbine was devised to utilize the expensive heat from the gas turbine a second time to generate electricity.  A modern “CCGT” will convert about 57% of its heat to electricity — out-producing the 11,000 BTU open cycle (‘Plain Old’) gas turbine which could muster only 39% heat conversion, dropping that ‘heat rate’ from 11,000 BTUs down to 6,200 BTUs per kiloWATT hour of electricity, which is 57% heat conversion.

The more heat the machine can convert to electricity the less fuel burned to create the electricity — lowering its cost.

Our business model is to find the technology that will collapse that ‘heat rate’ from 11,000 BTUs, down past 6,200 BTUs, approaching and attacking 5,000 BTUs if possible.

We follow the independent power producer format — Energy Giant will use its contracts with the electricity buyer to self-finance, install, and operate the Power Bridge CCGT for ten years as a baseload, and then five years more as a ‘peaker’ power plant.

We charge an implementation and operation fee per kiloWATT hour, and the fuel is purchased separately by the electricity buyer.

This way the less fuel we can burn to make the electricity we sell because of our technologies, the lower the cost of the electricity to the buyer.

No fuel markups.

The Program is called the Power Bridge.

The first stage of Power Bridge is the integrated gas turbine system, and the second stage is the denatured molten salt reactor.

Our objective is to provide near-term affordable electricity, bridging to the most dependable and least-expensive electricity possible.
